Isaac: Hi Steve. Welcome to your interview with Junior's Cave. Now that 2008 has officially ended, what are your reflections of the year 2008 for Beyond From Within?
Steve: 2008 was an evolving year for Beyond From Within. The objective of Beyond From Within is starting to be fulfilled. The world is becoming aware of Beyond From Within.
Isaac: How did you first come up with this concept of Beyond From Within?
Steve: The concept of Beyond From Within came about when I was writing the deep, psychedelic song "Seven Strangers". Beyond From Within speaks for itself: The music and lyrics live Beyond From Within.
Isaac: Elaborate a little about whom were your biggest influences in the music industry and why?
Steve: The biggest influences on Beyond From Within are The Doors, Rolling Stones and the Who. Jim Morrison's deep lyric verse has been a great influence on my writing. Their music is fantastic!! Some of my favorite songs are, "Paint it Black", Light my Fire", "Street Fightin Man" and "We Don't Get Fooled Again", etc. are songs that have influenced my melody writing.
Isaac: Let's talk about what you feel Beyond From Within will bring to the music industry?
Steve: Beyond From Within will bring to the music industry songs that will encourage the listener to take deep thoughts that lead you on your way to a soul searching journey.
Isaac: If you had an opportunity to work with one artist or group, who would it be and why?
Steve: I would like the opportunity to work with The Doors because the music and lyrics of Beyond From Within are products of their influence.
Isaac: How would you describe your music to others?
Steve: I would describe the music and lyrics of Beyond From Within as - Psychedelic/Folk-Rock/Pop/Symphonic.
Isaac: What can fans expect from your debut CD, Beyond From Within speaks for itself, you are working on currently? What is the inspiration behind the CD?
Steve: Fans can expect from the debut CD thoughtful and clever lyrics with rich aural landscapes. I am working on some great new tunes. Listening to the music of my favorite bands provided the inspiration behind Beyond From Within.
