This young Hollywood actor became a household name when he starred in the long-running popular franchise as the Blue SPD Ranger in the season titled "Power Rangers S.P.D". With his charm, good looks, and enormous talents, Chris Violette is continuing to gain new projects both in TV and film. One of his latest achievements has been working with famed Horror Director George A. Romero on his latest thriller "Diary of the Dead". In this recent interview with our Webzine, Chris speaks candidly about his life as a young Hollywood star. Enjoy!

Isaac: Hi Chris, I wanted to first wish a wonderful day. Let's get started with the interview. Let's talk about your background. You are from Canada. Elaborate a little about your upbringing in Canada and what led you to want to become an actor.

Chris: Well, I was always the class clown so I guess my entertaining began at a young age. After my teenage years were focused on sports and school, I didn't really focus on acting until I returned from a summer abroad.

Isaac: You are also most noted for your role in "Power Rangers S.P.D" as the Blue SPD Ranger. What was the best part about this role?

Chris: Three weeks of hardcore intensive stage combat training before shooting the show. At the same time, shooting the show in New Zealand for nine months was amazing. The people I was able to work and learn from most of who are still some of my closest friends.

Isaac: What was the most rewarding aspect about working on a weekly TV series?

Chris: My guess would be that you are constantly working on your craft. Everyday you come to work willing and ready to learn which in turn makes someone a better actor and person.

Isaac: What was the most challenging aspect about working on a weekly TV series?

Chris: Getting up at 5 am everyday (laughs). I think the challenging part was trying to move the story along at the same pace as your character. We really wanted the fans to see our characters grow as the show moved forward. It helps the audience to stay connected.

Isaac: If you had an opportunity to work on another TV series, would you be up for the offer? Why or why not?

Chris: Pending on what the show was…But yeah, I'm pretty sure I would do a TV series again. The jump to film has been difficult and at the same time it's a big ocean filled with many many fish. What I would ultimately like to be able to do is finance my own projects with other sharing the same interests.

Isaac: What is the best part about being an actor in your opinion?

Chris: Too many things to mention (laughs).

Isaac: Of the films and/or TV series you have worked in so far, which film and/or TV Series have been your favorite and why?

Chris: Power Rangers! I think we can all say was a great experience. Working half way around the world and just being part of such a great franchise. Also, working with George A. Romero on his latest thriller "Diary of the Dead" was great. I became a bit of a gun slinger, which in turn was a load of fun.

Isaac: You have also worked on several independent movies. What can you tell us about the process of working on a Movie set versus a TV series?

Chris: Well, with a TV series, there is much more pressure to not allow the film set to go into overtime; there is a tight schedule. Don't get me wrong though there is just as tight a schedule on a film set but my feeling are that the director on a film set has an idea of what he or she wants and won't stop until he or she gets it.

Isaac: Have you ever seen one of your projects after it has been completed and thought to yourself, "this is crap!"? How do you promote a project that you may not be proud of in the end?

Chris: As an actor, you try to take everything you do as a learning experience. I am proud of all work accomplished. It is better to be working in the first place. But hey, your not gonna please everyone. And if you try to, you'll end up going crazy (laughs).

Isaac: what is the perfect movie or TV role for you to portray as an actor and why?

Chris: Well my hopes of becoming an action hero stay true and strong. I'm very athletic and try to stay in shape as much as possible. I mean; come on, who doesn't want to do a big action blockbuster?

Isaac: Name a director that you would love to work with and why?

Chris: I would love to work with a friend of mine named Matt Austin as known as the green ranger. He is a very talented director. But, in the entire world, I could also say Martin Scorsese…definitely.

Isaac: Has there been any film parts that you decided against pursuing because of the type of role? What movie role would you not do as an actor and why?

Chris: Given the right director and script there isn't much I wouldn't do.

Isaac: What is next for Chris Violette?

Chris: Right now I am working on financing some of my own projects. I am starting a reality blog/show at chrisv.tv and I am a spokesman for professor brainstorm which is a brand new game friends and I have invented and been working on setting up tournaments for; It's an amazing experience working with kids.

Isaac: Where can fan connect with you online?

Chris: My website is chrisviolette.com

I try to stay true to my fans so they will stay true to me. It's does take some time to reply to everyone and I do answer all fan mail with autographed photos.

Send request to P.O. Box 41 Streetsville, Ontario l5m2b7

Isaac: What are some up and coming projects that you are working on currently?

Chris: Ahhh, did you just ask me this question (laughs).

Isaac: Sorry about that one Chris (laughs).

Isaac: Final words from Chris Violette...

Chris: Thanks for the interview! To all my fans, thanks for your support... And stay true to blue! CV over and out!
