Eye'z

Sonicbids

This next Singer/Songwriter has all the making to go straight to the top of her game; she is extremely beautiful, powerful voice, and full of energy. She is also a remarkably singer/songwriter who has a solid grasp on the Pop music genre. Who is this artist? She is Eye'z, and this is her story. Recently, the magazine was in contact with the artist who allowed us to feature her in an online interview; this is what transpired.

Isaac: Was there any one musician that spoke to your heart so profoundly, you were inspired to do your own thing as a Pop Singer?

Eye'z: Micheal Jackson.

Isaac: Which singer/group would you say you would most like to do a duet with?

Eye'z: Jesse McCartney.

Isaac: What singer/songwriter do you most connect with?

Eye'z: It's hard to name just one, so I'll name a couple; Michael Jackson and Eminem, I really connect with him and his upbringing.

Isaac: Out of your entire song collection that you've written thus far, which song(s) would you say is/are the most personal/meaningful to you?

Eye'z: Wow, all of them are, but I have song called "Stop" it makes people really uncomfortable to hear but they always know where I'm coming from.

Isaac: Which singers/groups do you enjoy/like from some of today's music genres?

Eye'z: Jesse McCartney, Cassie, and Beyonce.

Isaac: What charities are you involved with or support and why should people get involved?

Eye'z: I support victims of violent crimes. I am not sure if they are still going but when I make over a million dollars I will be donating to them. They give counseling services to victims of violent crimes. I'm sure there are other ones that I don't know about but that's the one I know about and if anyone knows some others let me know!

Isaac: Have you (or would you ever consider) writing a song about any of today's particular world issues/problems? If so, what world issue would speak to you the most to write about?

Eye'z: Yes, I have. In my song "All Eye'z on me", I say "I pop my pills cuz I'm told that it's good; it's not so good, it's not so good. It takes away my voice, and it makes me cry you can't cure who I am". "It's basically saying you don't need to take pills to cure mental problems, who you are is who you are and if people don't like it they don't like you. It's OK to be yourself".

Isaac: What is the main reason why should people listen to your music?

Eye'z: Because I pour my heart and soul in to every diamond note; every note is purposely done. I do music for everybody so don't be afraid of my genre!

Isaac: What have the biggest challenge to get your music out there as an Indie artist?

Eye'z: Well, when people in the industry see your talent they want to bottle it. The challenge is staying away from people who say they can help you and really what they want to do is steal your ideas.

Isaac: How far into the creation of a song do you share any of it with anyone? Who would you play it for? Would it be a chorus, a verse and chorus, or a complete song?

Eye'z: (lol) I have a bad habit of the first thing I sing when composing is letting that be the chorus.

I usually just connect the emotion with the keys on the piano, and let it flow; just singing how I feel. And once I memorize it, I would share it with a friend or record it and share it to myself (lol).

Isaac: How much do you let others "mess around with" one of your new songs?

Eye'z: I let NO-ONE mess around with my songs!

Isaac: Do you have to be a tortured soul to be a singer-songwriter?

Eye'z: No, but sadly I am. But, I feel if you want to sing write or whatever, you can. The torture just makes your lyrics and music put the listener at a chill, unintentionally... but if you really wanted to you could do that as well.... but we should all just be happy!

Isaac: Are your songs strictly autobiographical or are they embroidered autobiography?

Eye'z: Right now all of my songs are autobiographical, but I can't help it. I can't sing a lie! And sometimes I add extra lyrics to make it sound good. In one song, I say "I wanna feel yo body, I don't but it sounds good, and I want you to feel me! But feeling yo body sounds better.... hope that helps!" (lol).

Isaac: How long does it take you to process your emotions and turn them into songs?

Eye'z: Not very long! The only thing is I have to have privacy. And right now I'm at the point as a recording artist where, if I am writing a song, I have to lay it down in the studio soon. But I can't right now so I'm bottling up every sick sad emotion that I have right now (lol).

Isaac: The best piece of advice you actually followed?

Eye'z: Follow the yellow brick road (for those who can't read in between the line follow your heart).

Isaac: Give Shutouts to your family and friends.

Eye'z: UGLY NIGGA! LE LE! DAFFY! ALL OF MY FANS! FRANKIE BIGGZ!

Isaac: Last but certainly not least, what are you working on, now?

Eye'z: I am working on my song named lovely. I have a demo version of the song out on MySpace as well as YouTube but that's just a demo.... I'm doing the real one over and this one is gonna be great. I can't wait for everyone to hear it!
