GG is influenced by multi cultural music that tends to speak to the heart and soul. She is also creating her unique sound that blends Reggae, Hip-hop, Ballad, Pop and Dance into soulful melodious tunes. In this recent interview with GG, our Webzine gets the 411 on the new artist and what she hopes to bring to the music industry.

Isaac: Hi GG, Welcome to your interview with Junior's Cave. Now that 2008 has officially ended, what are your reflections of the year 2008 for GG?

GG: My reflections for 2008 was one of learning the music industry business (there is still more to know, but this is my starting point). This past year was basically introduction to the public; though my music hasn't gotten a full and wider promotion and distribution which was most difficult part of stepping in the scene.

Isaac: What has drawn you to wanting to make music?

GG: Well the love for music was all my life; I grew up in a family that appreciates music. So, I have been inspired at an early age. I am really a songwriter, but at moment I am just starting this ship. You just have to start somewhere.

Isaac: Elaborate a little about whom were your biggest influences in the music industry and why?

GG: Michael Jackson has been one of the most influenced in my early childhood. I love his unique voice and talented performance. I love Bob Marley gift to make reggae music a love song or message with a strong forceful voice. Out of the UK, my most favored is LuLu she is a true artist with touching vocals. Artists with such great talent as I mentioned above has definitely inspired me to think, write and sing. I hope I can be a little like them some day.

Isaac: Let's talk about what you feel GG will bring to the music industry?

GG: I want to give to the music industry, music that is educating, uplifting and inspiring to all. I am looking for that new sound and probably a refreshing feeling; something unique.

Isaac: If you had an opportunity to work with one artist or group, who would it be and why?

GG: Burning Spear or Bunny Wailer of Jamaica because I like Roots and Cultural lyrics. I think foremost my service is to God Almighty and Roots is a form of praise and worship.

Isaac: How would you describe your music to others?

GG: Well, my music is all styles as I mentioned earlier; I am a songwriter. So, I never know what next my inspiration is going to be whether it is Reggae, Hip-hop, Ballad, Pop or Dance. So far, I have been trying to bring out a unique and different sound. I like multi cultural influences.

Isaac: What type of feedback have you received from your previous releases?

GG: These two songs 'Give It Up' and 'Island Girl' are my first two public releases. The public responses from those who heard it is good. They appreciate the lyrics and the sound, and would love to hear more.

Isaac: What can fans expect from your latest CD, you are working on currently? What is the inspiration behind the CD?

GG: Well, my next release would be in a similar mood as the first CD. I would keep it lively and in a dancehall style. My biggest inspiration is the love for dancehall music and the will to contribute.

Isaac: Where can fans locate you at online?

GG: My online site is: www.reverbnation.com/artistGG

or www.betarecords.com/GG.

Isaac: What can fans expect from GG in 2009?

GG: My fans can look forward for more music from me and a change in the spelling of my Artist name. The pronunciation will be the same. I am taking this moment to apologies for only releasing two songs the first time.

Isaac: Time for some shout outs to your family, friends, and fans…

GG: I thanks all my Fans and family and all the radio stations that help me so far in the music venture.

Isaac: Final words from GG…

GG: My final word is that, all the gifted people should continue to pursue their dreams in their different form of Arts, according to their perspective talents. Each individual has his or her own destiny and part to play in life journey, and they should never give up no matter how old you are until they have first tried to succeed.

Remember: - Failure is the last resort.
