The Harlem New York native rapper Juelz Santana is at it again, he has returned to the scene after what he calls "to long". This time he is accompanied by his new group of artists, known as the Skull Gang. Juelz has been working on his latest mixtape release with his Diplomat associate, Jim Jones, as they team up for a Christmas Record, "A Tribute To Bad Santa", hosted by comedian Mike Epps. Having never done a Christmas record before, Juelz is sure to take listeners on a new and exciting experience, bringing a new sound and feeling to Christmas like only he could. He also just released the Skull Gang Take Over mixtape, which is in stores now. I got the chance to talk to Juelz about the meaning behind this latest release, his new group of artists the Skull Gang, his future plans, and even a look into what Christmas was like growing up in his home.

Q&A:

J-Chase: The Bad Santa Mixtape has officially hit stores, how long were you working on this project?

Juelz: It was actually something that we had done in 2 days, Jim called me up and asked me if I wanted to get on it, I said hell yea, he sent me like 4 songs, and we knocked them out in 2 days. It was a collective thing, so we kinda knocked it out fast.

J-Chase: This whole project was a tribute to Bad Santa, who came up with the idea behind this mixtape?

Juelz: Last year Jim had put out the Christmas album, he wanted to do another one, and this year called me up and asked us if we wanted to get on it. He know I always got artists, the artists all was wit it, I've never done any Christmas music before, so we said hell yea.

J-Chase: Besides you, who worked on this project?

Juelz: It was Jim, his artists in the Byrd Gang, my artists in the Skull Gang, and Mike Epps.

J-Chase: This project is pretty different, what made you guys decide to do a Christmas Project?

Juelz: You know we always trying to do things different, stay afloat, you don't really expect this kind of thing from us, and it's unexpected. Like I said Jim had already had plans to do it, and was really presented to me. We always putting together music working in the studio.

J-Chase: Mike Epps is a real funny guy, what is like working with him?

Juelz: He's a funny dude, like he don't have to jump into character, it's just 2nd nature to him to be a clown, he didn't even have anything written down, he just started saying what ever came into his head. I known him for awhile, he's just automatically funny.

J-Chase: Who did the production on this project?

Juelz: We got different producers, Jim is working wit Chic Santana, he did a lot of stuff with Murder Inc, he did a lot of records on me and Jim's last albums, and then he did a lot on this one. We got another group called Flame On, a couple different dudes, we call them the drum line.

J-Chase: So I heard you're going to do a mixtape this year for release on Koch, what's the name of that project going be?

Juelz: Well the Skull Gang Takeover is in the streets right now, then we going to do another one, The Skull Gang Takeover Continues. Then my solo album, The Reagan Era, and we going to set it up with Koch and let them put it out, people really feeling the movement right now. It's going to be a beautiful thing, we building the brand.

J-Chase: Do you have any plans to go on tour next year?

Juelz: Yea, me and Jim is working on setting up a tour, a Hard Rock Tour, Hard Rock Café or the House of Blues, expect me to be on some of them dates with Weezy. I'm going to holla at him.

J-Chase: So is Weezy somebody that you plan on working with more in the future?

Juelz: Yea, actually I just talked to Weezy yesterday, we got the "I Can't Feel My Face" album done, we just waiting for the politics to get done, and then we going to release it.

J-Chase: What projects or artists are you pushing right now?

Juelz: Skull Gang, the movement, I got my man Richmond out of Richmond, Va., I feel like he's going to tear the south up, my R&B artists Starr, I feel like from her pen to her voice is just astronomical, when it comes to R&B, my man Casa, he's been with Diplomats from day one, he can do so many things and he can rap his ass off, and my man John Depps, he's from Queens, so the main focus is on the movement, and who ever the people ask for first is who they'll get. It's just about Skull Gang & Juelz Santana.

J-Chase: What's the situation with Dipset, are you guys going to do a new album?

Juelz: Hell yea, It's still Dipset for life man, the only thing different is I'm not doing business with Cam, but it's still Dipset, me and Jim still work together, Zeek, we got the Pop Champagne track out right now, we rockin, so the bird is still flying right now, I didn't want to copy the Diplomat movement, I wanted to do my own thing with the talent I had around me. It's just a new chapter in the book. Dipset for life, Skull Gang Forever.

J-Chase: Is this the first time you ever did Christmas music?

Juelz: Yea pretty much, you know we played around in the studio doing little stuff, I've talked about it before, but this was really the first time I ever did a Christmas album. So it's defiantly a new experience, it was a good experience.

J-Chase: What was Christmas like growing up in your house?

Juelz: You know I had 4 brothers, so sometimes we had better Christmas's then others, I know my mother always worked hard to try and keep a smile on our face, no matter what it was we was always thankful, but at the same time we wasn't as fortunate as others, we wasn't the richest kids In the world. So it was interesting, waking up, sometimes you got the things you wanted sometimes we didn't. Some years was better then others, but most of all I know my mother tried her best, and that's what counts.

J-Chase: Are you planning on releasing a solo album any time soon?

Juelz: Hell yea, that's what this whole build up is about, my solo album is coming out a little while after the Skull Gang mixtape is dropped. I just felt like I been gone for awhile, I didn't want to drop a album with 12 songs, I feel like I deserve to give the fans more then that, let them know what I been up too, I'm just going to hit them in the head till it's time to kill them. Look out for the Reagen Era Mixtape too.

J-Chase: You recently did a song with Chemistry, what was it like working with them?

Juelz: It was cool, that's another record someone called me up to get on, and I came through to do my Juelz thing. If a person ask me to do something, if it's beneficial to both parties then I'm down. They came to the studio, and loved my verse. So we made it happen.

J-Chase: Is there anything you want to shout out or promote?

Juelz: Dipset 4 life, Skull Gang forever. Go get the Skull Gang takeover mixtape , the Bad Santa tape, and the Reagen Era, take over 2, the part 2 of the mixtape. We got videos coming out until the next mixtape, and my solo album.

One of my friends had sent me an email with this picture of a small 8 year old boy in Iran, who had been caught stealing bread in the market. He was ordered to have his arm ran over by a car; taking away the use of his arm for the rest of his life. Now when I saw the pictures of this I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the image, it was obviously outrageous and atrocious, but the text before the image reads as so:

“Nice People? There are no words to describe this, may God have mercy on us. No religion, can ever justify such hideous crimes. Pass it on, let the world know what's happening in the name of Islam. Pass this to all, for public awareness” - Wikipedia.

It seemed to me a little unfair to slander only the name of Islam, but I guess I understand in a way, from a bias Christian, ignorant to what has happened throughout history in the name of all religions, not just Islam. I sent him back a link to the Crusades history page on Wiki, and then pointed out a few recent atrocities that were in the name of Christianity, for example, every abortion clinic bombing ever, the recent murders of an abortion doctor and a few others. I hope he reads up on his religious history a little more, the Christians have done more horrific acts in the name of God than any other religion.

Most Americans unfortunately are only educated by some pop culture or movie they saw somewhere, if they actually read about Richard the Lion Heart, and the things he had done. He would never be viewed in a positive light. When Richard was crowned King of England, he banned all Jews from the proceedings, and any that did show up even with gifts were robbed of their gift, flogged, stripped and thrown into the streets. There was once a rumor that Richard ordered all Jews to be killed, and in response the city of London became the scene of a genocidal killing spree, burning Jews alive, beating them to death, and forced into Baptism. When Sean Connery portrayed him in a movie, he seemed like a great guy. He was responsible for the death, murder, persecution and genocide of more Jews then Hitler, and Richard was under sanction from the Pope. So why is Hitler portrayed as a monster and Richard the Lion Heart a hero? A better question is what type of people would actually listen to such a command, if President Obama told us all to kill all the Jews, who would actually do it?

“In 1063, Pope Alexander II had given his blessing to Iberian Christians in their wars against the Muslims, granting both a papal standard and an indulgence to those who were killed in battle” - Wikipedia.

The Pope’s promised the forgiveness of sins of any man who would go to war with Muslims. An idea that could be compared to extremist Muslims that are told by clerics that they will get 72 virgins in Heaven for their Martyrdom. The Crusades was a Holocaust that lasted 200 years, and targeted the likes of Jews, Muslims, Pagan Slaves, Russian & Greek orthodox Christians, Mongols, Cathars, Hussites, Waldenesians, Old Prussians, and anyone who was labeled as a political enemy of the church or pope or god. Before the Crusaders would leave, they would take a vow, be given a cross from the Pope and then given penance for past sins (indulgence).

So why is it that the oldest group of extremists is seen in a light of purity, yet other religions have been slandered as violent extremists or brutal savages?

White people have no culture?

By Jared "Jay" Chase
Published: October 13, 2009 3:45 PM EST

Myspace.com/jchase45

How many times have you been told that you have no culture?? The people who stake that claim have obviously never been to school, or they have some other agenda for insulting white people, they don’t know that by definition, culture has 4 main criteria:

1. Physical Manifestations of that race. IE, anything that was built by that race or that would manifest in those races communities. For white people, we just need to take a look at Stone Hedge in Scotland, which was actually built 1,000 years before the Great Pyramids, or the Greek Parthenon, which was the beginning of all democracies and the beacon of justice and civilization in the world, or the Coliseum, or the leaning tower of Pisa, or any of the other major things we've built since our introduction to the world.

2. Language of that race. Here again we can go back and pick out any of the most major languages throughout history, the Greek Language, Roman, German, Russian, and of course the main language of our modern world, English.

3. Art forms of that race. Any art form of that race, whether it was Music, Paintings, Sculpture, or Architecture. We can reach all the way back to the time when the white race invented the flute in the years near 27,000 B.C., or of course we can talk about Mozart, Bach, Leonardo Divinchi, Monet, Picasso, and so many others.

4. Accomplishments of that race. Throughout history, whites have had more accomplishments than any other race to ever come along, from Alexander the Great, the greatest military mind to ever live, to Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Neil Armstrong & the crew of Apollo 11, white people have had a history of being the greatest explorers, conquers, inventors & greatest minds to ever live.

Don't let hateful racists tear you down! Don't fight hate with hate; just be proud of the accomplishments of your race and where you're from. Don't let being branded as racists scare you from saying “I'm proud to be white”. Screaming racists is the only way some people know how to exploit white people, political correctness and this “white guilt” that we're supposed to feel ( I must not have a conscience because I feel fine).

Young Havoc Interview

The list of artists and legends to come out of Brooklyn NYC is long and prominent, and currently there resides a lot of talent, the NYC underground scene has a rising star among its new talents, Young Havoc, the 18 year old rap artists. In his quick rise in the underground, he has already worked with a series of major DJ's, including J-Chase of the Slip N Slide DJ's, and has managed to land himself on numerous radio stations. His latest song "Ride or Die Girl", has been well requested and given great feedback, and has become an anthem for the ladies. Young Havoc has started his career in the industry with a bang and it should be great to see what happens for this young rapper in the coming year. I had a chance to sit and talk with Young Havoc, we talked about his music, his influences, his goals, the labels and troubles he's had already and his plans for the year. Don't miss out on this; you could miss the rise of a star…..

J-Chase: You were born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, what was the music scene like growing up there?

Young Havoc: It was mostly Hip Hop, growing up I listened to a lot of Nas, Biggie, Big Pun, Lil Kim, DMX artists like that.

J-Chase: Now you started writing music when you were 11, what was it that influenced you to start writing?

Young Havoc: I've loved music since I was knee high; I was into allot of poetry. Although I wrote I never really started doing Hip Hop till late 2007.

J-Chase: Now you first started making music with a group by the name of N.H.R, can you tell us a little about that group?

Young Havoc: The founding members were myself, Fresh Wes, A-skillz, and Big Act. More artists joined such as J-riddle, Cava the Kiddd, Simplicity, 4Ever, Angelo, and Ripsta. N.H.R. is still around but it's only now myself, Angelo, and 4Ever, I guess we saw who the weak links were.

J-Chase: What was it that happened that made you break off and pursue your solo career?

Young Havoc: I was always told the other cats were holding me back me and A-skilllz had a fallout, Simplicity skipped town, Big Act moved away and me and Fresh Wes had fallout. I think I'm better off on a solo journey.

J-Chase: Now one of your first featured placements was with the Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Series, how did you end up connecting with them?

Young Havoc: I was one of two artists selected off MySpace for that Mixtape it was hosted by DJ Khalid Volume 18. I guess you can say lucky break.

J-Chase: You were signed to Never Give Up records, tell us a little about the deal you had.

Young Havoc: A B.S. deal, It was written that we would receive 100$ a week for a recording budget. All projects would be paid in full. Another artist named Crisis was signed that night also.

J-Chase: What was it that made you leave?

Young Havoc: Money was coming out of my pocket and I saw no progress. Crisis stayed a few months after me but left too.

J-Chase: So I heard you're working on your first album, "Indestructible", can you tell us a little about it?

Young Havoc: Yes it's a blend of old school Hip Hop and new age Hip Hop and RnB. It will feature artist such as Righteous, Angelo, Fav, and Stevie C. The hit single off of it "Ride or Die Girl", is already a major hit with the ladies, you saw how many hits it brought your page Chase.

J-Chase: Who did the production for your album?

Young Havoc: Well there's 4 joints produced by Jc James, 5 joints produced by The Virus Productions, 1 by Frost of Balisong Productions and 1 by Dee of Dirty Looks Ent. All the recording and mixing is being done by Rocco Don of Rocco Don Records in Uma Studios.

J-Chase: What do you think is special about this album?

Young Havoc: It's the most unique album of this decade.

J-Chase: Who was the biggest influence on your music?

Young Havoc: A lot of artists have this on profiles and they name other artists. Well my influences are my family, my hardships I went through and my fans.

J-Chase: If you could work with anyone in the industry, who would it be?

Young Havoc: Nas.

J-Chase: So you have any plans to go on tour or do any major shows or anything?

Young Havoc: Not at the moment we are booking though and what we get we get. To book Young Havoc, 1-845-891-9158 or Dekalbav@hotmail.com.

J-Chase: So what can we expect to see from you this year?

Young Havoc: Results, I'm hoping to get into full rotation with national radios soon. I'll be releasing 3 more Mixtapes before the album. One titled "The Greatest and Most Hated Vol 1" another titled "Nayborhood Superstar" and last the Mixtape before the album.

J-Chase: Anything else you want to shout out or promote?

Young Havoc: Yeah look out for the album and Mixtapes check me on www.myspace.com/younghavocakaincrediable
