Krisha

Perhaps one of the freshest R&B singers to come along Krisha has all the right moves. After two years of blood, sweat and tears, R&B singer Krisha has finally released her latest album. Krisha recently took the time to complete an online interview with Junior’s Cave. Here is what formulated:

Isaac: Briefly describe how you entered into the music industry.

Krisha: Well, I grew up listening and playing MC Hammer, he was my idol, his energy and presence on stage got me imitating him. Also, I remember listening to Mariah Carey song “Without You " and I wrote down all the words and realize that I wanted to make up my own songs, so I penned down my first song called "Love be mine" and had a passion to keep writing songs and thinking of melodies to go with it and the rest they say is history.

Isaac: Briefly elaborate why you feel music is your career path and what makes you want to make music.

Krisha: Music is my life; I eat and sleep music. I love to make music for everyone, I love it when people say “I feel what your talking about; I have been through that pain” it’s great, someone else has been through what I have been through.

Isaac: What is the most rewarding aspect to making music currently for you?

Krisha: Being able to dance to my own tracks and say to myself this is a tune [laughs].

Isaac: What has discouraged you the most about making music?

Krisha: It is very hard to know how many people want to become a Music Artist and nobody wants to do the same thing that I’m trying to do, plus downloading has changed the Music game completely, CD albums don’t sell as much in shops and prices for CD albums have drop big time.

Isaac: What does being a Hip-Hop/R&B entertainer mean to you?

Krisha: It means that I need to bring all my energy on stage, give the audience a great show and keep making banging beats that keep people moving.

Isaac: Do you have a personal philosophy about music? If so, what is it?

Krisha: To me, music is music and I believe everyone has their own interpretation to music and that’s what music is about. Never make music for the sake of making music, believe in what you make and have passion when doing it.

Isaac: When you are performing live in front of an audience, what are the thoughts that are running through you head?

Krisha: It’s funny, the first thing I think about is my music better be pumping for my audience, then I think alright they want a show, lets give them a show. You always have the thought in the back of your mind whether the audience will love or hate you, but hey your there to show them why they should love you.

Isaac: Why is being an independent musician important to you?

Krisha: Being independent to me means I can say how I want my music, how I want to look and what I want to sing about. Don’t get me wrong, having an expert person on your side to say this might not work or this could work still is important as well.

Isaac: Do you think the Internet has altered the path of music as an industry? If so, how?

Krisha: I think the Internet has worked with us and against us. Now I can reach out to as many people with little to no budget, but because it is open to everyone you are running against everyone that is thinking like you.

Isaac: Any advice for other musicians out there when it comes to using the Internet as a medium for getting their music heard to the masses?

Krisha: Promote, Promote and do more promoting.

Isaac: What kind of recording software do you use?

Krisha: I never recorded my tracks; I went to an Engineer/Producer and used his equipment.

Isaac: I know that everybody has his or her idea of a dream artist, someone who for whatever reasons that person would just love to listen to and admire. As an entertainer yourself, if you could play with one of your "dream" musicians, anyone at all, who would it be and why?

Krisha: For me it would be Beyonce. Not because of her voice but because of her energy, passion and talent. I hope to become just like her but the UK version.

Isaac: What are you hoping to gain from your experience of being a musician and making music?

Krisha: I’m hoping to reach out to a lot of people that cry out and need someone to tell them that it’s going to be ok it will get better. I had a lot of experience with pain and knowing that I got over the pain, I can tell people in my music you can too.

Isaac: What are you hopes for your music in the year 2008/2009?

Krisha: I’m hoping to get more help on board with booking gigs, selling my album and getting to travel the world and tell more people about my music.

Isaac: This is our Shout Out time. Please give props to anyone and everyone that matters the most to you.

Krisha: Firstly, to my family who has always supported me and who has brought my album. To Mark the Engineer/Producer, thank you for helping me to make a banging album. To eMasters, thank you for mastering my album bringing out the best in my album. To Jake at Media Sourcing for cutting me a great deal to produce my albums CDs they looked great. And to everyone that has brought my album thank you so much and to those who are going to buy the album, it will be worth the buy.

Isaac: This is Shameless Plug time: Give us some updates on new releases and other projects in the works.

Krisha: Well I have my Brand new album out “Breakdown”; you can buy it on my website http://www.krishamusic.co.uk./. Also on my website I have given my fans free ringing tones to all my tracks and I am running a great competition at the moment.

Isaac: Final Thoughts:

Krisha: I want everyone to make sure that each day they are doing something they are truly passionate about it, because I am and I’m loving it.

Krisha
