Isaac: What's the name of your band?

Marijuana Johnson: Marijuana Johnson.

Isaac: What's the origin of that name?

Marijuana Johnson: Stupid name, we smoke weeds.

Isaac: Have you changed the band's name before?

Marijuana Johnson: One time we played a festival sponsored by Budweiser and had to change our name to Mary Jane Johnson. Drink PBR. It's delicious and refreshing.

Isaac: What genre of music do you consider your work to be?

Marijuana Johnson: Power slop. We don't like to limit ourselves to labels.

Isaac: Who are your major influences?

Marijuana Johnson: Sleep, Boris, NOFX, Cephallic Carnage, Torche, Captain Beyond, Pentagram, Iron Monkey, and the Cars.

Isaac: How long have you all known each other?

Marijuana Johnson: We don't know each other.

Isaac: How did you meet?

Marijuana Johnson: Jogging.

Isaac: When did you form your band?

Marijuana Johnson: May 2006

Isaac: What inspired you to make music together?

Marijuana Johnson: Revenge.

Isaac: Do you have a record label?

Marijuana Johnson: We need one...do you have a label?

Isaac: Are you a member of any music organizations?

Marijuana Johnson: Wu-Tang Clan ain't nuthin' to fuck with…

Isaac: What can you tell me about your instruments? (i.e., Are you subject to brand loyalty or will you play with whatever's available? What made you choose the instruments you have now? Was it cost or was it a style/model/brand/color preference?

Marijuana Johnson: We play Gibson. As far as amps we like to use Sunn, Marshall, and Orange. We like various electro-harmonix and boss pedals.

Marijuana Johnson: We play the shit out of Dayton, and are hoping to be cumming in a city near you.

Isaac: What are your favorite and least favorite venues?

Marijuana Johnson: The Whiskey, CBGB's, Beef O'brady's, W.O. Wright's

Marijuana Johnson: Half of the time we smoke weed, half of the time we play music.

Marijuana Johnson: We play at set times.

Marijuana Johnson: We got nicer equipment and our riffs got better.

Marijuana Johnson: Cash Money.
