Isaac: Briefly describe how you entered into the music industry.
Midori/Audioclique: We just kind of came together as a band. It's really cool because everyone is really passionate about music, but we each have a unique style and input.
Isaac: One of the reasons why I was drawn to you guys is because of your style. Briefly elaborate on your background.
Midori/Audioclique: LOL. We all have such different musical backgrounds, but we think that's what makes our sound unique. The band members have backgrounds in 70's Rock, Metal, Jazz, Alternative, Modern Rock and Pop-Punk.
Isaac: Now that is pretty cool if I say so myself.
Isaac: What is the most rewarding aspect to making music currently for you?
Midori/Audioclique: Performing live...that feeling of connection when the band is playing a song and the audience is totally into it. That's the best feeling!
Isaac: What has discouraged you the most about making music?
Midori/Audioclique: It's so hard because there are so many bands out there, and so many GOOD bands. It's hard to get noticed because of the number of artists trying to get attention.
Isaac: What does being an entertainer mean to you?
Midori/Audioclique: Connecting with people through music, creating energy and passion when we play, having fun on stage, and bringing something real to the audience.
Isaac: Do you have a personal philosophy about music? If so, what is it?
Midori/Audioclique: Music is inspiration, perspiration, infatuation, and self-expression.
Isaac: When you are performing live in front of an audience, what are the thoughts that are running through you head?
Midori/Audioclique: Well, first of all, "don't mess up." And if everyone's into it, "this is awesome." A lot of times; you don't even think. You're just totally caught up in the song.
Isaac: Why is being an independent musician important to you?
Midori/Audioclique: It's nice to have control of our destiny.
Isaac: Do you think the Internet has altered the path of music as an industry? If so, how?
Midori/Audioclique: Absolutely! Bands can get huge without a label's help. You can reach so many people through on-line music sites, and your fans can really get to know you through band sites and places like Myspace.
Isaac: Any advice for other musicians out there when it comes to using the Internet as a medium for getting their music heard to the masses?
Midori/Audioclique: Put your music in as many places/sites as you can. Send your music to online radio stations. The more people you reach, the better your chances.
Isaac: What kind of recording software do you use?
Midori/Audioclique: Nuendo, and a mix of software and old-school hardware.
Isaac: I know that everybody has his or her idea of a dream artist, someone who for whatever reasons that person would just love to listen to and admire. As an entertainer yourself, if you could play with one of your "dream" musicians, anyone at all, who would it be and why?
Midori/Audioclique: Louis XIV because they have so much energy and such a unique style, and Led Zeplin because they know how to rock!
Isaac: What are you hoping to gain from your experience of being a musician and making music?
Midori/Audioclique: We all hope to evolve as musicians and also to meet new people and see cool places.
Isaac: What are you hopes for your music in the year 2008/2009?
Midori/Audioclique: We hope to get a lot more fans and visibility outside of California. We would like to play at some really big venues, and also start on CD number 2.
Isaac: This is our Shout Out time. Please give props to anyone and everyone that matters the most to you.
Midori/Audioclique: Well, obviously our families and friends...and our fans!!!! We really appreciate all the support and encouragement.
Isaac: This is Shameless Plug time: Give us some updates on new releases and other projects in the works.
Midori/Audioclique: Our debut CD is being released in July. It's called "Bring It" and will be available on CD baby. You can check out samples of the songs at our official site - www.audioclique.net. And, please add us to your friends on Myspace... www.myspace.com/midorilongo
Isaac: Final Thoughts:
Midori/Audioclique: Thanks so much for taking the time to read what we have to say!!!
