Isaac: Hi Patrick, How are you doing today?
Patrick: Chillin. Figuratively and quite literally.
Isaac: I wanted to first thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to complete this online interview with our Webzine. Let's get started. What prompted you to want to make pursue a career graphic designing and photography?
Patrick: I have always been creative to some degree, the career pursued me.
Isaac: You started off in computer and stop-motion animation than moved onto graphic design, painting and photography. What is the one aspect about creating a graphic design, painting or photo and making it unique and original that you enjoy the most?
Patrick: The process! It is all about experimenting and having fun expressing ideas or solving a specific visual problem.
Isaac: Let's talk a little about your background and your upbringing.
Patrick: Grew up in the beautiful landscapes of upstate New York. Both parents were school psychologists. These 2 things influenced me greatly.
Isaac: One of the coolest things I love what you do is how you use the Polaroid Camera to take some amazing and very unique photos. Tell us a little about what made you decide to go into this direction and some of the feedback you have been receiving about your work.
Patrick: An artist's friend of mine, Jillian Guarco, showed me some of her work with Polaroid film. She was doing all these things directly to the film and making a whole new language out of it. I was hooked.
Isaac: What are your inspirations for your collages; Is there a story behind them?
Patrick: The collages are never didactic, but I would like to think that the viewer can imagine a story or narrative in them. Inspiration for the collages as well as all my work comes from nature, the human condition and ideas on how we see.
Isaac: What has been the biggest complement you have received about your work that you would like to share with our readers?
Patrick: The response to the work has been great. It is always nice to get feedback!
Isaac: What are some photography sites you enjoy visiting and why?
Patrick: Wooster Collective - great art (street) from around the world.
http://www.facebook.com/l/f39ed;wikimedia.org - always something interesting there.
numerous blogs/photo blogs - too many to mention. I am blown away by all the amazing work out there!
Isaac: Who are your muses that inspire you to do what you do?
Patrick: Who, what, when, where and why! It is everything.
