When I first began to listen to the music of Russell Huie, I instantly knew that I had stumbled across something magical. One of the strongest parts to Russell's music is his smoothing voice. It seems to melt you away when he sings. His recent project entitled Cheer the Bombs On is a combination of musical styles that seem to fit perfectly on this EP.
From the very first note, Russell manages to capture us with his melodious tunes and soulful vocals, which really have something to say through his music. In an age where there are musicians around every corner, Russell Huie is the real deal. His lyrics are another powerful part to this EP - perhaps some of the most meaningful lyrics that have been written by an artist.
Overall, Cheer the Bombs On is a delightful treat that will make you an instant fan of Russell Huie.
