JC Interview Exclusive:
(October 2009)
Ryan Hodek

Ryan Hodek

Ryan Hodek has accomplished more things in the past four years than most people would ever do in one lifetime. The fact that he is only 15 years old shows the level of genius that comes from this young man who is on track to leaving a lasting impression with fans. A huge fan of the late night talk show, Ryan has created a wonderful show that shares some of the same elements of that genre. For fans who want to be entertained, then check out The Ryan Hodek Show and learn more about this amazing young Internet Entertainer in this exclusive interview with our Webzine. Enjoy!

Isaac: Hi Ryan, it's really cool that you decided to interview with our Webzine. Let's get started. How old were you when you decided that you wanted to start your own website and create your own show?

Ryan: I was 11 when I started doing this kind of stuff. I wanted to do short films and Hollywood stuff but I put that on hold for awhile and started a YouTube based thing. It was mostly a YouTube show based on MTV's Jackass and as I grew up it just slowly progressed into what I have today with a way bigger fan base. The Live Show idea I don't really know where it came from; it just came to me one day and I acted on it. And I think it might have been the best idea I had. I don't regret a thing.

Isaac: Do you believe that other kids around your age look up to you as a role model?

Ryan: I think a lot of them [kids] do because they see me rich and famous in the future and that's what they want, but others look up to me because they just like what I do. I don't think a day goes by where I don't hear a question about how others can start doing what I do such as my clothing, my websites, my EVERYTHING I guess. I think what I do gives other kids an idea of what they want to do with their own goals.

Isaac: What has been the greatest reward since you started working on your show?

Ryan: I think the greatest reward I have is the way people see me and want to be like me and of course the fans I feel bless everyday when I get fan mail from people just starting off in the Internet Entertainment World telling me how much they love what I do. Another thing is the people that want to work with me in different projects because they feel that my name will benefit them and bring people to what they do.

Isaac: What have been the reactions from your family and friends about what you are doing at such a young age?

Ryan: My family supports me very much in what I do and my extended family loves it and thinks I am the one in the family that will do something big with his life. I choose my friends very carefully just because I want friends who don't care what I do but they like me for me and not because of the show or any of that so I don't really get a reaction from them.

Isaac: What do you feel has been the advantage and disadvantage of starting in the entertainment business at such a young age?

Ryan: Um, I think the biggest advantage is the video work I do now I can use for film school in the future and can be entered in film festivals to make money off of for collage. The disadvantage, I think, it's too early to tell but if anything I think it might be the fact that eventually people will get bored of my show and what I do.

Isaac: Let's talk about your show you created The Ryan Hodek Show. Describe where did you come with the concept behind the show and what can new viewers expect from each of the show?

Ryan: The concept of the show is strictly ENTERTAINMENT! I want people to be able to watch this show each week and get a good giggle or two and in the end want to come back and see it every single week. I am adding some new things to it the year such as Live Music from undiscovered artist in my area and well thought out skits and spoofs. All in All, there is a little bit of everything in there for everyone.

Isaac: How can folks tune in to your show? Please give time, date, and day of the show.

Ryan: The Show will start again on October 10th and will be every Saturday after that at 9pm est. @ show.ryanhodek.net

Isaac: What has been the craziest moment that you have had on the show so far?

Ryan: Haha, The best moment of my show so far has to be the DRESS-UP show. We held an online vote to see who would have to where a dress LIVE on the show. It was between Me, My brother James, or my friend Cody. Cody had 243 votes meaning he had to wear the dress LIVE for half the show.

Isaac: You have many talents including Director, Editor, Producer, Show Host, and Internet Personality. Do you consider yourself an overachiever? Why or why not?

Ryan: I would say YES; because people don't really expect this kind of stuff from a 15year old, but these are all things I am very interested in making a career out of in the future, after high school, or collage. I think I'm stronger in Directing and Hosting than any of the others.

Isaac: You also have a talent for building websites. Name some of the coolest websites that you have created and where can folks locate them if they want to take a look at your work. Ryan: I do have a talent for that, and my two most viewed sites that I have done are The Ryan Hodek Nation and Nebula Skateshop. The Ryan Hodek Nation is the coolest because it gives people a place to connect and share there comedy work (www.RYANHODEK.net). NebulaSkateshop is also a memorable site because it was the first site that people paid me to make and because of that site I have many people in line for a website by me today. This one is for an El Paso local Skateshop you can view it at (www.nebulaskateshop.tk).

Isaac: What are your ultimate goal that you want to achieve with your show and other works?

Ryan: I would love to make my show televised on NBC Late Night because that's the basic set up for the show and I am a huge fan late night shows. As far as my film making goes, I want to go to The New York Film Academy for Directing and start directing real Hollywood films for a living. I do Short films threw my Hodek Films Branch at the moment.

Isaac: In ten years, I will...

Ryan: I would be 25, so I would most likely be going to school for my degree in Film Making and just starting my career. However, the Show will probably still be going just because I can never leave my fans.

Isaac: Are there any persons you would like to thank you for being supportive?

Ryan: I would like to thank my Mom for her support and MADSOUNDS for teaching me Web Design and supporting me even when I was an ASSHOLE. All My Friends who have helped and supported my show from the time I started. Most of All The Fans! You guys keep me going all The Support I Get from y'all is all I need to keep going!

Isaac: I have to ask this one. What do you want to say to all your haters out there....

Ryan: This is an easy one, DONT HATE, APPRECIATE!

Isaac: Final thoughts from Ryan Hodek...

Ryan: Sign Up for The Nation at www.RYANHODEK.net and support!
