Sonicbids

Born in Indiana and Raised in Philadelphia the Hip-Hop artist Scifi is creating a new style in the music industry that fans of Hip-Hop will enjoy. What fans will enjoy especially about Scifi is his flawless lyrical flow and thought-provoking lyrics. In this spotlight with our Webzine, we speak with the talented artist about his music and goals for the Hip-Hop Industry.

Isaac: What was the best part of 2009 so far for you musically?

Scifi: It was when the album was actually completed, ya know. It was just an overwhelming feeling of greatness that hard work does payoff.

Isaac: What do you feel was your biggest accomplishment for 2008?

Scifi: '08 was my year of learning the industry even more as far as the business aspect goes, so before 09 came around I felt like I was untouchable, ya know-- like no one has an advantage over me anymore.

Isaac: Describe the music scene in your area.

Scifi: It's universal, ya know. I try to make a product that's for everyone not just for a specific target market.

Isaac: What has been the best venue to perform at and why?

Scifi: There is no specific venue; it seems like everywhere I perform the crowd is showing mad love especially local it just appears to me that the game does what a change and I'm going to give it to them.

Isaac: Elaborate a little about whom were your biggest influences in the music industry and why?

Scifi: To me, artists that come as themselves and not a creation of their label are the most powerful artists such as Nas, Wu-Tang, The Game, Mos Def, Kanye West, Jadakiss, Killah Priest, and a few others.

Isaac: Let's talk about what you feel you will bring to the music industry?

Scifi: I feel I have a medication... a cure for the stupidity, hate, corruption that exists in not only the industry but the world.

Isaac: If you had an opportunity to work with one artist or group, who would it be and why?

Scifi: Canibus; because he has done and is doing what no other artist has ever done before.

Isaac: How would you describe your music to others?

Scifi: Alien, captivating, very vivid, and universal.

Isaac: What type of feedback have you received from fans about your music?

Scifi: Well to me; it didn't feel like feedback it felt more like love and understanding, ya know! Just hearing people say how great my music his means more than a lot, so shout out to all my fans and soon to be fans.

Isaac: Where can fans locate you at online?

Scifi: Anywhere!

You can also get the album on iTunes, rhapsody, Napster and many more.

Isaac: What can fans expect from you in the next five years?

Scifi: I don't take breaks or vacations, so just expect a new album every year or every year and a half.

Isaac: Time for some shout outs to your family, friends, and fans…

Scifi: Much love to my fans. Big ups to the whole Skymount Records, The Radical, Canibus, Greww.

Isaac: Final words…

Scifi: If music is how you heal wounds, than my music will make you immortal.
