The Medullary Paralysis

Sonicbids

The Italian based group The Medullary Paralysis has crafted a unique sound that blends elements of Industrial, Glam, and Indie music. Another interesting factor about the band is their overall super cool style that instantly will attract new fans to them. Add the wonderful melodious and catchy tunes; fans are in for a treat with this group. If you are interested in learning more about the band, then read on in this ultra cool spotlight. Enjoy!

Isaac: What has been the best part of 2009 for you musically so far?

The Medullary Paralysis: Right now! We are rehearsing a lot of new songs and we are working in studio to record their drum beats and synth sounds for our next live performances. One of these new tracks is called "Just Sex" and we want to release it before the end of 2009.

Isaac: What do you feel has been the biggest accomplishment for 2009 so far?

The Medullary Paralysis: The release of our EP on March 13, 2009.

Isaac: Describe the music scene in your area.

The Medullary Paralysis: Nothing interesting here. You know, we are ready to pack up at any moment.

Isaac: What has been the best venue to perform at and why?

The Medullary Paralysis: Catania, Sicily | Fru Contest Final. The Medullary Paralysis rocked the stage in Sicily and finished third in a national contest organized by Italian university radios. We were chosen among hundreds of bands by contest judges. Our fans voted online and helped us reach the final. We had a great time in Catania, 1300 km away from home! Our performance in Sicily was broadcast via radio and the web.

Isaac: Elaborate a little about whom were your biggest influences in the music industry and why?

The Medullary Paralysis: We grew up with The Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson and NIN. But also with the amazing pop songs of the 80s...

Isaac: Let's talk about what you feel you will bring to the music industry?

The Medullary Paralysis: Our unique point of view about what everybody will face throughout their life, sooner or later.

Isaac: If you had an opportunity to work with one artist or group, who would it be and why?

The Medullary Paralysis: With Billy Corgan before 2000. The most inspired rock musician of the 90s.

Isaac: How would you describe your music to others?

The Medullary Paralysis: You have an out-of-body experience when we mix The Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson. And Tears for Fears too. Indie industrial glam on the dance floor.

Isaac: What type of feedback have you received from fans about your music?

The Medullary Paralysis: "Unique" is the most frequent adjective we read about our music. We really like when people can't easily label us.

Isaac: Where can fans locate you at online?

The Medullary Paralysis: First of all, they could come in the Medulla: The Medullary Paralysis:

Isaac: What can fans expect from you in the next five years?

The Medullary Paralysis: We are used to shocking our fans. We can't reveal too much now.

Isaac: Time for some shout outs to your family, friends, and fans…

The Medullary Paralysis: We don't wanna thank anyone but Livia, Andrea, Francesca, Carlo Alberto and Serena.

Isaac: Final words…

The Medullary Paralysis: Gloom is no excuse; it's mankind that creates Good.
