New Music Spotlight: Young Prodigy
Bombing the Game

Young Prodigy

This next artist’s main influences include the southern hip-hop rapper, Lil Wayne. Young Prodigy, of Da Real Ent Family, is Bombing the Game when he arrives to a store/iTune near you. He certainly is making his own bid for fame in the music industry and once you read this Interview you will discover the 411 on what he is all about.

Q. What is Bombing the Game all about?
A. Bombing the Game is really about the simple fact that I would like to come in da (short for “the” in hip-hop language) world of rap with a marvelous impact. I am saying that to say this: “I hope that the game is ready for YOUNG PRODIGY because I’m “bombing the game”.

Q. Give us an insight on the artist?
A. In insight on the artist, well Junior, I started rapping about a year and a half ago, and I figured since this is gonna help me stay out of trouble while playing a positive role in my life then I should just make it an everyday thing. So, I did, and it's bought me long ways from a year ago. I have to say I couldn’t have made a better choice, and I hope that kids and teens out there doing wrong can look at what I’m saying in say to them selves, “If he can do it, so can I”. And that’s that, Junior.

Q. There’s been an uproar within the hip-hop community that real hip-hop is dead? Do you think this is true? Why or why not? And what do you consider yourself more of a rap artist or hip-hop artist? Explain why?
A. Is Hip-Hop Or Rap Dead? No, it is not dead in my opinion. In all honestly, Rap music or Hip-Hop music is not dead because like I said before Rap and Hip-Hop are playing a positive role with many kids and teens today. The music gives the kids a positive outlook on life. A kid may say this: “Hey, I wanna be like her or him because at least that artist is not out there selling drugs”. The bottom line is that I am here to get out there and be a Rap or Hip-Hop artist to my fans. As far as your other question, I considered myself both.

Q. You talk about you taking your music to the next level but what can you really offer to the audience that the next person has not already done?
A. Well, I offer me in the way that no one else might not be able to do. You see I can bring blood, sweat, and tears into all my songs. Basically, that is what I am doing right now. Other people might just get on a track but put no heart in their music. For me, I do it for me and I do it for the fans. The end result is that I am here to please my fans and ultimately I am putting all my cards on the table so I can “bomb the game” with my mad skills and sick rhymes. You dig?

Q. Who do you think is overrated in the game right now and why? Who is underrated?
A. Right now in the game I believe that T.I.P is overrated cause in my opinion he just is to cocky.

50cent is underrated in my opinion cause the simple fact that he has it all from clothing line to drinks to a list of rappers under him such as Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo to name a few makes him the man. Did you hear his hit he jus came out the other day, I GET MONEY? It is dope!

Q. How would you describe success?
A. I describe Success as.... one of the many elements of life. Success is an achievement that many want to accomplish but only few get the opportunity to do so. I say that to say that success is a mind set/goal something that people just want a taste of [describing success]. I’m describing it to be something that one can achieve if she or he works hard towards that goal.

Q. Final thoughts as we wrap this one up:
A. I had to think bout this one [laughs]. I want to let everyone out there reading this to know that if you want to keep up with what is new with me or future releases of my music check out my MySpace account at www.myspace.com/realentyoungprodigy.
