Recently, I had the pleasure of having these guys spend the night on my floor (long story) when they were in town to play a gig on Jekyll Island at Summer Waves.
The group, Made in Canada, agreed to do me a favor and sit down to do an interview with us here at Music Now on Juniorscave.com. Check out the interview as I know when you see them live or either pick up their CD that you will dig the hardcore sounds of this punk band.
Karen: A brief history of the band’s beginnings:
>>>Made in Canada: Paul, Klynt and Jeff started the band ‘After Seven’, when they then found out that the name was already taken. So they changed their name to ‘Made in Canada’. This is when Brian came in as a fan of the band due to the loss of their bass player. Brian then took over vocals and bass guitar permanently. The current line up is as follows: Klynt~guitar, Paul~drums, and Brian~Bass/vocals.
Karen: What was the first song you guys wrote as a band? What was the inspiration behind it?
>>>The first song we wrote with this line-up was called ‘My Time’. It is a typical breakup song with the girl wanting the guy back and the guy turning her down. It covers the guys look on indecisive girls in relationships.
