Sponsored by GIAHA & the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce

Brilliant, versatile mezzo-soprano Ruby Hinds, in the remarkable one-woman show See There in the Distance..., dramatizes the story of opera singer and civil rights pioneer Marion Anderson through unforgettable words and music. From Anderson's early days as a musical prodigy in Philadelphia through her struggle to build an opera career in the face of racial injustice to her triumphant 1939 concert at the Lincoln memorial, Hinds brings depth, soul, passion and outstanding musicianship to one of the most inspiring stories of our time.

First, the G8 Summit and now the worldwide Samuel Beckett Festival! Yes, the Golden Isles goes international again as the Historic Ritz joins theaters across the globe in a year-long celebration of the centenary of this 20th century literary genius. Beckett's surprisingly tender, funny and accessible Happy Days has much to say about life, hope and the need for human connection. An original theatrical production by GIAHA that travels to Atlanta's PushPush Theater after its run at the Ritz
