Marc Andress, from the local Southern Rock band;Konichiwa, takes time to talk with me about the band.

Date: December 17, 2005

Konichiwa rocks

Interview by Junior Davis, Editor in Chief

JD:Hello Marc, I know that we have been waiting for some time to do this interview. I am sorry that it has taken so long to actually get this completed.
Can you give our audience a little background of your overall band's career goals.
MA: Well, our short=term career goal would be to continue playing at local shows eventually branching out more to out of town venues & Festival Shows, producing a new CD, and merchadising.
Long term goal would be winning the Grammys in 2007.

JD:Marc, I like your way of thinking my friend. If you keep playing the music that you and the band are making, I do not see why you guys won't make it all the way to the top of the charts.
Do you want to record and release your own records or would you all perfer to go with a national label company?
MA: At this time in our career, we want to be on an independent label until we need national distribution.

JD: How do you sale your CDs?
MA: Our CDs are sold at our local shows. At this time, we are not financially able to support ourselves without the sale of our music at various shows.

JD: Who handles most or all of the band's business affairs?
MA: That job would be left to our drummer. He handles ALL of our business affaris. He is great with that sort of stuff.

JD: Do you have any personal contacts in the music business?
MA: I have many musicians' friends from being a Sound Engineer for 3 years. I have a friend in Nashville that produced Jack White (White Stripes) & Loretta Lynn's album that won a Grammay for best Country Album of the year. Eric McAnell, my old roommate, was on Arista records and had 3 top ten hits in the Late 80's and early 90's. He was also in the band Dream so Real. He is friends with Peter Buck the guitar player in REM. He also frequently plays with national acts.

JD: Do you have an entertainment law attorney to consult with?
MA: No lawyers yet. Not that we need it right now (lol).

JD: Marc, thanks for the awesome interview.
MA: My pleasure. Happy Holidays. JD: You too.

Interview by Junior Davis,

Mikael Linder, our very own Web Designer, took the time to speak with me recently about family, freinds and his Holiday plans.

Date: December 14, 2005

Interview with one of our own, Mikael Linder-Web Designer for Junior's Cave.

Interview by Junior Davis, Editor in Chief

JD:Hi Mikael, How are you doing today? I wanted to take the time to let our audience get to know what a wonderful person you are and boost of your talents. And maybe attract some of the single ladies as well.
Can you give us a little background of your childhood and what are your initial plans at the current time?
ML: I’m just fine thanks, and thanks for the kind words! I was born near a town called Östersund, in the middle of Sweden and I have been living here mostly ever since. With the exception of moving away for some periods working or studying. Right now I am on the hunt for a job and trying to find an upperlevel education that suits me. I’m hoping to be either be working abroad or in Sweden until I decide what to do next! So yeah I’m rather undecided about things at the moment.

JD: What part has your family play in your life? Are you close to your family?
ML: I’m close to my family, I have good contact with all and they all support me and mean alot to me.

JD: You are pretty amazing as a Web Designer; do you see this as a path you would like to take in your career path?
ML: I’m not sure today, but it’s possible, I dont feel as good in it yet to make a career out of it. I feel I probably want to educate myself in something with computers but perhaps not in webdesign. I guess I’ll have it as a side-business in that case.

JD: how has working with folks that you have never met been for you?
ML: It’s interesting, usually most of my clients or business partners end up being people I never meet, and that involves a bit of trust. Still, since we mostly end up good friends thats no real issue. And I sometimes wish I could atleast meet up once, just for the reason of meeting up. So, when will we meet then?

JD: (laughing out loud) soon, what do you like to do for fun that keeps you busy?
ML: Meeting new people, making new friends and hanging out with friends is something I enjoy, I watch alot of tv shows, one of which I’m into alot(Stargate sg-1/atlantis; I’m into stargazing, computers and other geeky things that usually keeps me busy hehe.

JD: On the opposite sex, what are you looking for in a girlfriend/wife?
ML: Tricky question. Someone who I can simply have fun with, feel comfortable with, feel that we both can share anything, and trust. Someone that respects me and believes in me and loves me for who I am. And oh, being tall and/or having long legs is a strong plus!

JD: what about a family? Are you ready for one in the near future or is his a question I need to ask a few years down? (heh)
ML: I feel at the present time, that I’m not ready for one, thats all I can say. So yeah, come back in.. a very long time! heh.

JD: Any fun plans you have for the holidays?
ML: I will probably be spending christmas with my family, where we will eat a classic swedish christmas dinner(as always!) Over new years Id like to travel somewhere, not sure where yet!

JD: It has been nice getting to know you:
ML: You too, thanks for being the good friend you are and keep up the good work and have a very merry christmas!

Felicia Collins, local resident and personal friend, speaks about God, family and keeping her faith

Date: December 06, 2005

JD: Felicia, how are you doing today?
FC: Hello Isaac (Junior). I am very well today.

JD: Are you nervous at all?
FC: No. I am not nervous at all.

JD: Could you give our audience a little bio of you and your family?
FC: I am a single parent of two girls. Alicia is 16 and R‘nelle (arnelle) is 7.

JD: A brief summary of your childhood:
FC: I was born and raised in New York City. I am the youngest of five children. We were very poor-mainly because my father‘s "occupation" was "shooting" dope everyday and any extra money we had from my mother‘s work went to support his habit.

JD: Before we get to your story Felicia, could you tell us why you are in college and what is your overall goal once you have completed college?
FC: I am in college to earn my Bachelor‘s Degree in education. I plan to teach Middle School until I earn my Master‘s Degree in English. From there, I plan on teaching English in a University, and if it is God‘s will, I will earn my PH.D., write a book about my life that will encourage others, and become an editor.

JD: Do you see telling your story helping anyone whom may be reading this interview online?
FC: I think anyone can be inspired and gain strength from hearing another person‘s story. Sharing personal pain and tragedies connect us all and allows us to give one another that extra "push" we need to move forward.

JD: Tell us your story:
FC: On April 11th 2003, my husband was shot and killed while working at his part-time job in a convenient store. He had just finished his police training one week prior to the incident. He tried to prevent a robbery that was taking place where he was working and was shot in the process. This tragedy has altered my family in a very painful way, but God has given Alicia, R‘nelle, and I the strength to embrace each day and each other with love. We are very close and very blessed to have each other.

JD: How has talking about this with me helped you?
FC: Talking about my story is always therapeutic for me. Talking allows me to discover new things about myself; it allows me and reminds me to be true to myself; regarding my feelings. Thank you so much Isaac (Junior), for allowing me to share my story with you and your readers.

JD: No, Felicia, it has been my pleasure. Happy Holidays!!!
