JC Style Spotlight:
Princess in Wonderland

Princess in Wonderland

MySpace has some of the coolest peeps on the Internet. You can find just about all types of different personalities on that social site. When we came looking for someone who we felt was the poster child of today's fashion and style, we didn't have to look far with this MySpacer.

When it comes to Style and Fashion, this next person is the princess of it. It just happens to be her handle on Myspace: Princess in Wonderland. We spoke with the young lady who was more than willing to share her love of fashion and style with our readers. I hope you enjoy this very fun interview/spotlight.

Isaac: How would you describe your philosophy about fashion and style?

Princess in Wonderland: Fashion I think is trends-based; it changes every time new or updated trends come out to play. But style is forever. It influences people's fashion choices and is based in aesthetics. Style doesn't disappear just because Kate Moss was photographed going to the grocery store wearing a new hat.

Isaac: What do you think are the hottest trends out there now currently?

Princess in Wonderland: I'm loving the whole bohemian look at the moment, all the soft fabrics and florals and brown and cream. It's so feminine and beautiful.

Isaac: What's one item of clothing every woman should own?

Princess in Wonderland: A great pair of jeans should be in EVERY woman's wardrobe. They are the most versatile thing you could ever buy. They work with everything.

Isaac: What female fashion mishap s makes you cringe the most?

Princess in Wonderland: Dressing for someone else's body. I can't tell you how sad it is to see big women dress like skinny ones, old women dressing like their granddaughters, and little girls dressed like prostitutes.

Isaac: What do you think is the perfect outfit for a male?

Princess in Wonderland: All men look good in tuxedos.(laughs)

Isaac: How do you decide on what to wear for the next day?

Princess in Wonderland: My best friend and I pick out clothes in the morning by texting! And I usually tear my whole closet apart trying things on and playing with clothes which would explain why I'm always late!

Isaac: Where is your favorite place to shop for fashion finds? And why?

Princess in Wonderland: Copenhagen (Denmark) and Stockholm (Sweden). They are amazing for variety in high fashion and street wear.

Isaac: In your opinion, what was America's greatest fashion moment or contribution to fashion?

Princess in Wonderland: I love the classic All-American look of jeans, T-shirts and Converse sneakers. America is such a diverse nation, with so much beauty to offer the fashion world. I love Audrey Kitching, Nicole Richie, and of course, Marilyn Monroe. A lot of my style icons hail from America.

Isaac: If you had one day to shop anywhere in the USA, where would you go and why?

Princess in Wonderland: I have always wanted to go to California, so L.A would be at the top of my list, and then New York would be great, I'd love to go to Trash And Vaudeville, and naturally, shop in the boutiques...There are so many great indie fashion designers in America that Australian stores don't stock; I think I'd need a whole week to shop!
