SLEEPWALKING!!!

Date: November 22, 2005

What is sleepwalking? To many folks, this is a question that have been asked several times. Sleepwalking is a sleep disorder which amazingly affects an estimated 10 percent of all humans at least once in their lifetime (1).

The most unique part of this disorder is that this widespread phenomenon varies from person to person. In fact, when a person sleepwalks, its intensity and frequency may vary. One good note to remember is that most sleepwalking episodes are short and not dangerous;however, some can involve minor to major self-injury. In other cases, sleepwalking is much more dangerous for the sleeper.

Heart of the Matter!!!

Date: November 21, 2005

The American Heart Association has issued warning for people to stand up and take sight of their cholesterol levels. The American Heart Association has lowered the level for the LDL cholesterol which is the bad cholesterol.

At one time it needed to be under 150 but with the new guidelines it needs to fall under 100. The total cholesterol needs to be 200 or less and the triglycerides need to be under 200 also. Many times ones cholesterol may be controlled by diet and exercise.

Another epidemic that people walk around with and have no idea they have is diabetes. You may obtain adult onset diabetes within 3 months so be sure to have your sugar tested frequently.
