Today, in the south of Rome a passenger train rammed into another passenger train that was stopped
at a station south of Rome. It was estimated so far that about 50 people — some were seriously wounded — while others were trapped in the wreckage.
The scenario started when a train traveling from Rome to Cassino had stopped. The train stopped at the station in Roccasecca, which is located approximately 80 miles south of the capital. In another route, a train headed from Rome to Campobass, using the same track as the 1st passenger train, smashed into the first train from behind at about 3:20, official said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and more details will be released as they develop.
