Tomorrow, the Nation will celebrate the man of peace; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We at JC Gospel Today will give a brief highlight on the man who forever changed America.
Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929–April 4, 1968) was a Baptist minister and political activist. He was the most famous leader of the American Civil Rights Movement. Dr. King who won the Nobel Peace Prize and Presidential Medal of Freedom made it his vision that black and white would be as one. King was assassinated in 1968. Because of his promotion of non-violence and racial equality, Dr. King is considered a peacemaker and martyr by many people around the world. As a result, Martin Luther King Day was established in his honor.
Godspeed!!

To all you new release DVD fanatics who have to be the first to rent or buy the latest flick, let me tell you STOP! The latest DVD release of the Gospel (released January 03, 2006) does not live up to all the hype.
As with many of us, I could not wait to view it. The Gospel is about a young man named David (Boris Kodioe) who leaves his father’s (Clifton Powell) church after his mother dies. David then finds fame in the R&B world. After his father is diagnosed with cancer, David returns to the church fighting various church members as well as dealing with his own personal struggles.
This movie has a great storyline, but Boris Kodie doesn’t come across as the son of a preacher in this movie let along as a singer. Even though the story is great, I can not buy Boris Kodie’s character. So all you die hard new releases fans wait till The Gospel hits television.
Out of five Stars
I give this movie a generous 2 and ˝

WORDS OF PRAISE
Praise him saints and everyone! I pray everyone had an
awesome week if I haven't seen you or talked with you.
Thank God for making it into another year. He didn't have
to keep us, but he did, and that's enough to give thanks.
He is so worthy. Well, the last e-mail I sent was just
information for everyone to read and know some things on the
Islam nation. Few people may not believe it is true, but
you can always research it for yourself.
When I send more
info, I will give you website, books, etc on the information
that I get them from, if anyone wants to read it for
themselves or don't believe it. We know that the bible
tells us that the people perish because of the lack of
knowledge. I'm here to give you the truth, but we know
everyone is not going to adhere to the truth. The truth is
what's going to make us free.
We also know that Jesus is
the way, the truth, and the light, so anyone who doesn't want
to hear the truth, does not want to hear Jesus. The word for
today focuses on speaking the truth. This word is right on
time. I wasn't expecting this, but I've been seeking the
Lord and praying on many things, and I thank God for who he
is. He is just awesome! Well, the scripture is coming from
Ephesians 4:25: "wherefore putting away lying, speaking the
truth with his neighbor; for we are members one of another."
"Care Enough To Confront"
Even when it's spoken in love, the truth can still call
tension. That's why we'll do anything to avoid
confrontation. It's also why our relationships die on the
vine. Following the path of least resistance makes rivers
(and people) lose their way because
a. the problem always resurfaces
b. untreated, it gets worse
c. disappointment infects the relationship
d. unexpressed anger leads to bitterness
e. our love grows cold
Avoiding confrontation means failing to use the tools God's
given us to restore harmony. "Peace at any price" is a
tactic of Satan. Anytime you care enough to confront
somebody, he'll whisper, "Why bother? It'll just make
trouble. It'll sort itself out. If you heed Satan lies,
you'll kill the relationship for sure." The Bible
says, "Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee,
go tell him of his faults in private": (Matthew 18:15).
That can mean saying, "I love you too much to stand by while
you work yourself to death", or ruin your health through lack
of exercise and bad eating habits, or watch you live against
the word and don't tell you the truth, or settle for too
little. As brothers and sisters in the Lord, we are to help
one another out, especially in love. Speaking the truth in
love means taking a risk. It requires two fundamental
convictions:
1. Honesty is more important than their comfort level. God
wants us to grow more in him and wants us to get out of
comfort zones, so he can use you for his kingdom.
2. The other persons well being is more important than
comfort levels.
Each individual responds to the truth in different ways.
The reason God says "Speak the truth" is because any other
approach just destroys relationships and other things. Is
there somebody you need to talk to today? If so pray, then
do it! I want to leave a question with you: "Can you
handle the truth?"
For all true believers, pray earnestly for saints, unlearned saints, sinners, our young people, our president, the Supreme Court, Atlanta, and New York. The enemy wants to destroy our saints; he's after the churches, especially our young children and young adults. Pray for those who don't want to take heed to the truth- that goes for saints also. Pray for our President because he realized that he made a mistake, and he wants help. A meeting took place last Thursday with former people who were in head years ago, along the president. Pray that God leads him in
every direction and decisions that has to be made. We are to pray for those who are in high authority because that's what the word tells us. Pray hard because this nation needs so much
prayer. I encourage you to stay strong. For this year, God is requiring that we stay prayed up and worded up because more things are to come, and we need to have on the full armor of God to be prepared. We know that we should read our word and pray everyday, but stay in it as much as you
can and pray always. I love you and be blessed.
P.S. Here are some things you can look over for yourself
for anyone who wants to read or know information for
themselves. From the Hip Hop information, you can visit
www.exministries.com; or get the video. For the Islam
information, you can go to google and type in The Koran,
Muhammad, and everything you want to know about their
nation. Also, type in Islamic Fundamentalists. You will
find so much about what they do to kill themselves and
others. Pastor Rod Parsly studied up on the Islam nation
and has tapings of it on deeper levels. That's another
source.
Remember: BELIEVE GOD(without believing him, he cannot
perform what he say he can do; speak his word only), TRUST
GOD(never put trust in man because they fail us, but God
never fails us), and OBEY GOD(we can't go wrong we truely
obey everything he tells us to do)!!!!!!!
I write the remember statement all the time because I want
it to sink into you. God wants his saints to believe,
trust, and obey him. I'm hearing that a lot. Put the word
in action and start speaking the word in every situation of
your life. We have authority, but we have to learn how to
exercise the authority. (That's a whole other teaching, but
be blessed today).
Be blessed and love you all!!

WORDS OF PRAISE
Praise him brothers and sisters in the Lord! Are you
preparing to meet Jesus when he comes? I pray everyone is
because JESUS IS SOON TO COME!!! Are you ready? Sooner
than we think. Honestly, I know I'm still preparing myself
and working things through, but I'm not totally ready. Our
scripture is coming out of Proverbs 30:25- The ants are a
people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer.
BE PREPARED!!!!
Guess what? What? You'll never change your life until you
change something you do daily. Success doesn't suddenly
occur, neither does failure; each is a process. Everyday of
your life is merely preparation for the next. The question
is, what are you prepared for? Are you grooming yourself
for success or failure? Are you grooming yourself to live
holy or live for the devil? Are you preparing yourself for
heaven or hell? Only if you're willing to work hard on the
front end, will you reap the rewards on the back end.
Remember the old ant and grasshopper story? Yes,
maybe no. Well, if you haven't, here it goes. During the
summer, the ant is constantly working, gathering food (Our
scripture Proverbs 30:25). Meanwhile, the grasshopper is
playing all summer long. When winter sets in, the ant
retires to his home and enjoys life. He's paid the price,
so he enjoys the reward. On the other hand, it's now time
for the grasshopper that played on the front end to pay on
the back end. He starves out in the cold because he didn't
understand that the only adequate preparation for tomorrow-
is the right use of today!
When you were in school, did you ever study so well
for an exam that you walked into the classroom with absolute
confidence, knowing that you would ace the test? You can
bring that same confidence to your every day life with God.
Proverbs 3:26 tells us that the Lord shall be thy
confidence; We know, maybe some of you, that he is our
confidant, and we put all of our trust, confidence, faith,
and belief in him. Unfortunately, most of us don't lead our
own lives-we just accept them. Life is not a dressed
rehearsal, and we don't get a second chance. Benjamin
Disraeli once said, The secret of success in life is for a
man to be ready for his time when it comes. Answer this:
if God gave you things you're praying for, could you handle
them? Good question Ehh! I like the ant and grasshopper
story. In proverbs 6: 6, it says Go to the ant thou
sluggard; consider her ways and be wise. Ants are very
smart and wise creatures. The bible tells us that the wise
shall inherit glory..(Proverbs 3:35).
Are you wise today?
If you want it, all you have to do is ask God. He's got
everything we need. Just like the song sung by Mary Mary,
what ever you want, God's got it, whatever you need, God's
got it. I encourage you to prepare yourself for the things
that God is getting ready to do. He has a plan for our
lives, but we have to get in the place where he wants us to
be in him so we can carry out his plan and work for him.
Living a Christian life is not always easy, but it's a
process, and we have to keep at it and keep going until we
see more and more changes in our life. Amen! I love you
all, and have a blessed and wonderful week. Keep in mind
all true believers, that we are blessed and highly favored of
the Lord. Somebody say blessed! Blessed!!!!
Remember: BELIEVE, TRUST, AND OBEY GOD. Send this to your
friends and family who needs to hear some words. You never
know, it might make their day and cause them to change.
Be blessed and love you all!!

WORDS OF PRAISE
Praise him saints!! I'm just continuing on with the next
part. Our scripture is coming from the same scripture:
Genesis 28:14 "And thy seed shall be as the dust of the
earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the
east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in
thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed."

The Power of God “Given Ideas-Part III
In What The World Owes To Christians, Dr. Victor Pierce, and
Oxford scholar, shares the story of the typewriter. "The
typewriter was a forerunner to the modern word processor,
but how did a Christian come to invent it? To write
sermons. I'm serious! Christopher Sholes was concerned
about his pastor who'd been busy all week visiting victims
of an epidemic, comforting the bereaved, and conducting
funerals. Consequently, he had no time to write his Sunday
sermons. One day Sholes, discussing with a friend what
could be done, said, "It seems a pity there ain't some quick
method of writing for busy folks like Parsons. His friend
replied, "Why not invent a machine?", Sholes
responded, "I'll try." That rainy afternoon was the
beginning of months of hard work.
Finally, a group assembled one day to see him tap out on paper, in capital letters, C. LATHAM SHOLES, SEPTEMBER 1867. Six years later the Remingtons recognized the typewriter as something that could
revolutionize business. In those days, clerks were mostly
men, but the Young Women's Christian Association started
offering courses in typing for women. Initially it created
a scandal, but as the first typists to be trained were
women, employers rushed to hire them. Hence the typewriter
and the Y.W.C.A determined that a woman's place was not
only at home, but could also be in the office.
"Is it okay for me to pray for God to bless my business?"
Yes! God wants to bless your business so that you can help
out His, which is the business of reaching the world with
the GOSPEL.

WORDS OF PRAISE
Hey saints!!! I hope you still remember the last word I
wrote you. I'm just continuing on with the next part. Our
scripture is coming from the same scripture:
Genesis 28:14: And thy seed shall be as the dust of the
earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the
east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in
thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

The Power of God: Given Ideas-Part II
One God-given idea can change so much. Have you
ever thought about that? Take for instance Braille because
Braille sure did change a lot of things. In 1824, Loius
Braille, a Christian, invented a system of raised dots on
paper so that the blind people could read. He invent 63
symbols representing every language, hence, God's Word was
placed into the hands of the visually impaired for the first
time.
And communications? In part, you owe your cell
phone and your computer to a Christian named Samuel Morse.
How different the world was before him. First class news
took 2 weeks to reach the USA, and reports of a major
victory could take 6 weeks to reach Britain. One day a
friend said, "Morse, when you were experimenting, did you
ever come to an absolute deadlock, not knowing what to do?"
Morse replied, "More than once." His friend asked, "What
did you do then?" Morse shared a secret: "I got down on my
knees and prayed for the light, and the light came, and when
my inventions were acknowledge by flattering honors from
America and Europe, I said, Not unto me, Oh Lord, not unto
me, but unto they name give the glory." That's why the
first message sent by transatlantic cable read: "What God
has wrought."
Now add another Christian named Loius Pasteur, the
French scientist who showed us that infection is the result
of things we can't see, namely germs and viruses. He
introduced sterilization methods that eventually saved the
lives of multitudes. Think God has run out of good ideas?
Not a chance! Ask Him for one for your life, your ministry,
or your business!!
Remember: BELIEVE GOD!(without believing him, he cannot
perform what he say he can do; speak his word only), TRUST
GOD(never put trust in man because they fail us, but God
never fails us), and OBEY GOD(we can't go wrong we truely
obey everything he tells us to do). Also have FAITH and
trust God!!!!!!!
Be blessed and love you all!!
