From the very moment Incubus came on the scene, I was instantly hooked by the soulful rock sound of lead man Brandon Boyd. When I was listening to this next group’s music over the weekend, Justin Alexander (Vocals), Ryan Tapley (Guitar), Nick Machado (Bass), and Spike (Drums), of Punchface are certainly proving that good music is not going away anytime soon. The San Francisco Bay Area Band, who came together in 2006 with long time friends Ryan Tapley (Lead Guitar) and Nick Machado (Bass) posting an add on Craigslist, looking for a lead singer/songwriter, has the right magic.
What makes this group fun to listen to is their high-energetic blend of music from a funky pop style to rockin tunes. Each track highlights the extreme talents that each of the members puts into the music. With the release of their debut 14-track album, fans can expect some strong piercing vocals, electrifying guitars/bass and fast pounding drums that are sure to delightful music lovers alike. If you would like to know more about Punchface or purchased their music, check them out at http://www.myspace.com/punchface. I give Punchface’s debut a solid A.
